The ring tiles for the rotary kiln lining are reserved according to the size of the user's ring tile ring, which makes it convenient for the lining construction of the rotary kiln without the need to cut the tiles. Moreover, the reserved area has a certain curvature, which makes it more compatible with the joint ring, prolonging the service life of the dynamic kiln and reducing the stress of the rotary kiln.

There are two design methods for the rotary kiln lining tiles and two construction methods: Generally, the vertical wedge-shaped tiles are used more frequently, with a ratio of approximately 9:1. That is to say, there may be one kiln lining with a circular tile lining in ten kilns, and in practice, the proportion may be even lower.

These two construction methods have different brick designs and reserved surfaces for the ring tiles, as well as different construction methods. The designed joint gap of the circular tiles is completed at the last stage of the kiln head's construction, using two types of tiles with a brick thickness ratio of 80% and 70% to tightly seal and support. However, when constructing this type of tile, attention should be paid to the upper and lower edges of the tile, that is, there are upper and lower edges when laying the tile, and it is better to place one edge of the tile on top and one on the bottom, making the construction more compact and the arc of the kiln diameter more round. Circular tiles are preferably used in the low-temperature zone because the circular tile lining is a heavy joint, and the heavy joint tiles have weak咬合 (interlocking) and are prone to falling off due to thermal expansion and contraction. It is better to add high-temperature-resistant components to the fire clay of the circular tiles to increase their adhesion.

The placement of the ring tiles is in the horizontal plane, but there should be a 5℃ curvature. The vertical wedge-shaped tiles are reserved in the vertical plane, that is, on the side with the larger head, but also a 5℃ curvature should be reserved. Regardless of whether it is the circular tile ring tiles or the vertical wedge-shaped ring tiles, the production size of the tiles is very important, because after the vertical wedge-shaped tiles leave the reserved joint gap, the remaining surface is large. During construction, it is allowed to randomly side-lay, but the circular tile lining must place the smaller-sized side on top to reduce the pressure on the reserved ring area, otherwise, the service life will be reduced.
